For a half minute, he says he's a Maverick; for the other half minute, he's not a Maverick.
John McCain is for wealth distribution.

This man is a little more than a year removed as the Republican candidate for President of the United States. Of America!
When an elected official behaves in a desperate, indecisive, incoherent, and undignified manner; it's time to retire.
Mr. McCain, it's time to exit the building of politics--permanently.

“Frankly Speaking, Chairman Steele.”
Are you seeing the picture Michael Steele? Do you hear the grumblings in your own party about you as the RNC Chairman?
I think I know what you might be thinking. You’re thinking, “They--and it's a lot of them--want you fired, removed, or dethroned because you're an African American.”
Wrong!
You might be musing that members of your party want you out as RNC Chairman because you're implementing Progressive ideologies which is a good idea in the Republican Party--a party that has woefully lost its way in the American landscape.
Nope!
Frankly speaking Mr. Steele, the members and donors of the Republican Party want you removed as the head of the RNC because of your “horrific” poor decision making, your “utter” aloofness to address the fundamental concerns that is affecting their interests, and your lack of vision to refresh, remodel, and advance the party still using 19th and 20th century philosophy that many Americans find completely outdated.
At long last Michael Steele--will you please just go away?

“Zero Tolerance…Seriously?”
What are children supposed to do when they are being bullied on a daily basis at a school they are attending where the adults are supposed to provide academic enrichment and safety from bullying but have failed on both fronts?
What are parents and caregivers to do when they repeatedly go to the school pleading and finally demanding that school officials stop other youths and adolescents from bullying their children only to be told, "We'll take care of it," and they do nothing?
Who is guilty for the young lady that recently committed suicide after being bullied viciously and with perfect regularity by schoolmates? Who is guilty of the murder of a student that refused to join a violent gang where members attended the same school who were bullying him? Who is guilty of for the bullying of Asian students attending South Philadelphia High School for the last decade? Who are the guilty culprits who stand paralyzed with indifference while our young people of all nationalities, backgrounds, religious affiliations, or sexual orientation are bullied, beaten and murdered?
If Zero Tolerance in our schools is supposed to protect the youth and adolescents from bullying, then it is a complete and utter failure, pure and simple. If one child--and I mean one--dies because he or she is being bullied and no action is taken to thwart this type behavior, then it appears that Zero Tolerance is nothing more than a “fanciful” concept that isn't worth the paper it’s written on.
What good is a law when it is not being implemented effectively? We must hold accountable those who crafted and failed to make Zero Tolerance a powerful ally for students against bullying and violence.
In the end, perhaps we should rename the policy of Zero Tolerance to "Not Really Zero Tolerance."

"I Want My Country Back…Revisited."
In today's confusing time of economic turmoil and urban decay, people often make the statement claiming, "I want my country back!" People romanticize about the "good old days" when life was supposedly so much more simplistic. They see chaos around them and think, "I Want My Country Back!" What exactly do they want back? This is what they would get back:
"I want my country back!” I want a country whose original inhabitants were ravaged, plundered, murdered and finally--had their country stolen.
"I want my country back!” I want a country in which many individuals have no respect for the land and because of this lack of respect; the land is becoming desolated and barren to provide the basic provisions we require.
"I want my country back!” I want a country where the inhabitants practice racial intolerance, ignorance, racism, and bigotry on a daily basis. I want a country where an intelligent and benevolent society is non-existent in the”country I want back."
"I want my country back!” I want a country where we will not peacefully protest against a horrible education system that fails expeditiously to prepare our youth intelligently and physically. I want a country where we will not peacefully protest for universal health care for every child, ending poverty, homelessness and a better quality way of life for senior citizens, but we will most vociferously murder for our beliefs regarding abortion, racial purity and our right to purchase fire arms.
"I want my country back!” I want a country where parents do not need to be responsible and accountable for their children's negative behaviors. I want a country where we find comfort in accusing and blaming others for our own short-comings instead of taking a more active role in the reconstruction of our self-worth and our communities.
"I want my country back!” I want a country in which religion teaches chaos, xenophobia and violence instead of spirituality that transforms individuals into servants for humanity.
"I want my country back!” I want a country where elected officials spread "fear propaganda" instead of promoting honesty, integrity, and common decency to their constituents.
Consequently, "I want my country back" is a "misguided" statement. This "fanciful" philosophy is the segway to tyranny' and history is written that many countries imminent demise occurred because of this view. This land was here long before we arrived and if were not very careful; it will be here long after we destroy ourselves--by suicide, so be careful what you wish for!

"Can They Be the Future Leaders of Philadelphia?"
Chants of "Burn the City," vandalism, as well as gruesome and wholesale violence culminated in another "earthquake of chaos" as youth and adolescents struck fear in Philadelphia business owners and other Philadelphians over the weekend.
This is the third time in more than a month in which these vicious delinquents converged on parts of the city, this time on South Street through text messaging wreaking havoc and leaving a destructive trail of pillaged businesses and splintered bones.
The most potent question that is being asked is, "Where are the parents?" Where indeed!
Some youth advocates/mentors such as me have in addition stated due to a "lack of positive parenting," there is also a decline of resources in place for programs that would be very beneficial to the youth and adolescents.
Can they be the future leaders of Philadelphia? At the current pace the only future that our youth and adolescents are facing is an extensive criminal record.

"What If?"
What if incumbent State Representative Angel Cruz is successful in removing me from the ballot for the May 18 Primary for State Representative of the 180th District?
Then what?
On April 9th I will go before a judge because Mr. Cruz and individuals that support his candidacy are contesting the signatures that I obtained. These signatures are YOUR signatures because you, too, are tired of waiting for changes that never come.
An incumbent that has been State Representative for nearly a decade of the 180th District is challenging the signatures obtained by a virtual unknown candidate vying for his position?
What if State Representative Cruz is successful in removing me from the ballot for State Representative of the 180th District? Will the residents be better off?
If Mr. Cruz is successful in defeating Mr. Ramos, another candidate, will he provide the community with the resources that have been non-existent for nearly a decade?
Will Mr. Cruz "effectively" reduce the vast unemployment, exceedingly high dropout rate among the youth and adolescent in the 180th District? Will Mr. Cruz address the crisis of a lack of education programs such as Literacy and GED programs? Will Mr. Cruz assist the community and the police districts serving the 180th District in combating and defeating the escalating crime and violence permeating the neighborhoods? Will he create programs for senior citizens in the 180th District that is abysmal and virtually non-existent? After nearly a decade of opportunity, what is there to show for his efforts in our community?
What if the incumbent is successful in removing me from the ballot? Does the incumbent expect me to disappear, fade-to-black, go quietly into the night?
Does he expect me not to appear in court on April 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.?
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Let me be clear; I will be there, and Mr. Cruz and individuals that support his candidacy will have to prove the signatures are not legitimate. I know that each signature that I collected came from members of our community who are ready for change. To question your signatures as "legitimate" is an insult to everyone in our neighborhood who has had enough of inept political leadership.
For those of you who want this change, let me assure you that this virtually "unknown candidate" will not be intimidated.

"I’m Not Running against Them…I’m Running for YOU!”
I am not running against Mr. Cruz and Mr. Ramos for State Representative; I'm running for State Representative for you.
I'm not going to say vote for me because I am the most qualified candidate; but I will say vote for me because I am the candidate that will place your needs, your family needs, and our community needs first.
I will not engage Mr. Cruz and Mr. Ramos in childish banter such as attacking one's character and integrity; but as State Representative I pledge to serve you, the residents of the 180th District, with integrity and character that you'll be proud of.
I am not going to be a "career" politician that represents you; rather I am and will continue to be a human service advocate that represents the residents of the 180th District.
I'm running for State Representative of the 180th District because as a resident, I am witnessing our great community descend into decay, poverty, illiteracy, high unemployment, chaos from violence, and hopelessness. And as a father who is raising a child here, I want him to have the chance to grow up without fear of walking through our streets.
I'm running for State Representative of the 180th District because my goal is to end the decay, reduce the poverty and high unemployment, stop the violence and improve illiteracy among the youth, adolescents and adults. I believe by addressing the issues head-on we will eradicate chaos and create a peaceful community based on the principals of compassion, safety, security, and hope for a lasting, and prosperous future our community.
